Catholics and Masonry The following is taken from the latest copy of the Philalethes Magazine “Father Al Simon of San Luis, California “Writes: “Congratulations on the fine article in the Philalethes about Catholic Church and Masonry. You have good insight . I join you in ridding ourselves of the misconceptions and downright untruths that too many have fed us. I’m on your side to bring to light all the things we have in common as brothers and sisters of one family under God.  We will refuse to obey anyone or anything that will separate us and cause fear or hatred.   Our life is Love.” Father Simon also wrote an article which begins: “What a privilege it is to be a Roman Catholic Priest, a Brother of a Masonic Lodge, and a Knight of St. Columba – all at the same time.” He called attention to a lapel pin which has a combination ” of the symbols of the Knights of St. Columba and the Masonic order.”  It is Presented to men who belong to both Organisations. http://www.pgracglasgow.co.uk/catholics-masonry/
